Travel advisory: The US government advises against all travel to Myanmar, and the UK advises against all but essential travel to Mandalay and against all travel to Sagaing and the area north of the city. Horse carts
Horse carts have long been a way to get around some of the region’s ancient sites, such as Inwa. Inwa lost most of its historic structures to the 2025 earthquake, with the Maha Aungmye Bonzan (Me Nu) nearly destroyed, and access to the site is unconfirmed.
