Discovering the Wildlife of Wadi Musa

Located in southern Jordan, Wadi Musa is a haven for nature lovers and adventure seekers. This charming town is surrounded by rugged hills, valleys, and canyons, making it an ideal destination for animal activities.

Walking and Club Cars

The main trail from the Visitor Center to the Treasury is a walk of about 2 km, 30 to 45 minutes on foot. For tired or mobility-limited visitors the official club car runs to the Treasury for 15 JD one way or 25 JD both ways, daily from 07:00 to 15:30. Tip: Wear comfortable shoes and bring water.

Animal Rides

Horses, donkeys, mules and camels work inside the park, and welfare groups have documented overloading and beating. Remember: Agree the total price first, tip included, or decline.

Birdwatching

Wadi Musa is a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 100 species of birds calling this region home. Keep your eyes peeled for the majestic Griffon Vulture, the striking Sinai Rosefinch, and the elegant Egyptian Vulture. Tip: Bring binoculars to get up close and personal with these feathered friends.
