Lima for Couples: Evenings and Dinners
Romance in Lima is mostly about evenings. The daytime city is busy, but the cliff parks at sunset, the lanes of Barranco after dark and a long dinner give couples what they came for. Prices are in soles (S/).
A sample evening
17:30, Parque del Amor. The Miraflores clifftop park has mosaic walls with lines of verse and Victor Delfin’s sculpture of two lovers, El Beso. The sun drops into the Pacific, so arrive early for a good place along the wall. Larcomar is close by for a drink with the same view.
19:00, Barranco. Walk to the Puente de los Suspiros, a wooden footbridge from the 19th century, then follow the Bajada de Banos down towards the sea. By day the quarter is for art and cafes. At night it is busy and lively, so keep your phone out of sight near the road, since motorbike snatching is a reported risk.
20:30, dinner. Pick a table well in advance.

Something different by night
Huaca Pucllana opens for lit evening visits with a guide. A 2024 press report gave Wednesday to Sunday from 18:45 to 21:00 at S/ 17, booked in advance, and the site is shut on Tuesday.
A daytime option
Cross the city to the Museo Pedro de Osma, at Pedro de Osma 421 in Barranco, for vice-regal paintings and silver. Check the fee at the desk.
Adventure for two
Tandem paragliding from the Miraflores cliffs lasts 10 to 15 minutes. It runs only when the wind allows, and prices differ by operator.
Getting back
Take an app taxi or a licensed car. The UK government warns of fake taxis and of express kidnapping, in which victims are driven to cash machines, with tourists on their own most at risk. Lima and Callao have been under a crime-related state of emergency, so see the UK safety advice before you go.
