Latsi is a harbour village on the north-west coast of Cyprus, and hands-on learning here happens on the water. Latchi Watersports Centre, a PADI 5 Star IDC Resort at the harbour, teaches diving and runs the area’s boat dives.

• Latchi Watersports Centre has operated for more than four decades and runs daily boat dives.
• Trips go round St George’s Island, where a wall dive drops to 30 m or more, and to shallower sites in the Akamas at about 10 m.
• Ask the centre for course dates, prices and age limits.

Tips for Visitors

• Book a course in advance, as spaces can be limited.
• Wear comfortable clothing and bring a towel and sun protection.
• Don’t hesitate to ask the instructors questions.
• Take your time and enjoy the process.

Combine a course with a fish meze at one of the harbour tavernas, such as Porto Latchi, Faros, Psaropoulos or Restomare. Check opening times in winter.
