5-Day Itinerary for Traveling in Anguilla
Day 1: Arrival and Beach Time
- Morning: Arrive at Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport (AXA)
- Afternoon: Head to Shoal Bay East, one of Anguilla’s most popular beaches, for some sun, sand, and snorkeling
- Evening: Enjoy a seafood dinner at one of the many excellent restaurants in The Valley, the capital
Things to Know:
- No visa is required for US citizens, but a valid passport is necessary
- Anguilla is a British Overseas Territory, so UK citizens do not need a visa either
- The official currency is the Eastern Caribbean Dollar (XCD), but USD is widely accepted
Day 2: Island Exploration
- Morning: Visit the Anguilla National Museum to learn about the island’s history and culture
- Afternoon: Take a guided tour of the island, including the scenic coastal road and the historic Katouche Bay
- Evening: Enjoy some live music at a local bar or club
Transportation:
- Rent a car to explore the island at your own pace ( approx. $40-60 USD per day)
- Taxis are also available, but can be more expensive

Day 5: Departure

- Afternoon: Head back to Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport for your departure flight

- Respect the island’s environment and wildlife by not touching or standing on coral reefs, and not littering
