Bolivia 6-Day Itinerary
Day 1: La Paz City Tour
- Morning: Arrive in La Paz, the highest capital city in the world (3,650 meters above sea level). Check into your hotel and rest for a bit to acclimate to the high altitude.
- Afternoon: Visit the famous Witches’ Market (Mercado de las Brujas) to see traditional Bolivian handicrafts and potions. Explore the nearby Plaza Murillo and Cathedral of Our Lady of Peace.

Day 2: La Paz to Uyuni

Things to Know:
- Altitude Sickness: Be prepared for high altitude sickness in La Paz and Uyuni. Drink plenty of water, avoid strenuous activities, and consider taking altitude sickness medication.
- Language: Spanish is the official language, but many locals also speak Aymara or Quechua. Some English is spoken in tourist areas, but it’s still a good idea to learn some basic Spanish phrases.
- Currency: The Bolivian boliviano (BOB) is the local currency. You can exchange money at banks or use ATMs.
