Egypt 5 Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Exploration of Cairo

  • Arrive at Cairo International Airport and take a private transfer to your hotel
  • Check-in to your hotel and freshen up
  • Visit the Egyptian Museum, home to the world’s largest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts, including mummies and sarcophagi (open from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
  • Explore the nearby Tahrir Square, a hub of activity in Cairo, and take in the sights and sounds of the city

Day 2: Pyramids of Giza and Sakkara

Day 3: Islamic Cairo and Khan el-Khalili

  • In the afternoon, visit Khan el-Khalili, one of the oldest and most famous bazaars in the Middle East (open from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
  • Find unique souvenirs, try local snacks, and haggle with vendors to your heart’s content

Day 4: Luxor and Valley of the Kings

  • Take an early morning flight from Cairo to Luxor (approximately 1 hour)
  • Visit the Temple of Karnak, a vast temple complex dedicated to the Theban triad of Amun, Mut, and Chonsu (open from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
  • Explore the Valley of the Kings, where you’ll see the tombs of pharaohs such as Tutankhamun and Ramses II (open from 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
  • Enjoy a felucca ride on the Nile River and take in the sights of the city
  • Return to your hotel for dinner and some well-deserved rest

Day 5: Luxor Temple and Departure
