Kosovo Itinerary: 2 Days

Day 1: Pristina and Surroundings

9:00 AM: Start the day with a traditional Kosovo breakfast at a local café in Pristina, the capital city. Try some burek (flaky pastry filled with cheese or meat) and a strong coffee.
10:00 AM: Visit the National Museum of Kosovo, which provides insight into the country’s history and culture.

1:00 PM: Head to Gračanica Monastery, a well-preserved medieval monastery located just outside Pristina. The monastery is famous for its beautiful frescoes and stunning architecture.
3:30 PM: Explore the Old Town of Pristina, including the Clock Tower and the Imperial Mosque.

7:00 PM: Enjoy a traditional Kosovo dinner at a local restaurant, featuring dishes like qebapa (minced meat sausages) and ajvar (roasted red pepper sauce).
9:00 PM: Take a stroll around the city center and enjoy the lively atmosphere.

8:00 AM: Depart for Peja, a historic town located about an hour northwest of Pristina.
10:00 AM: Visit the Patriarchate of Peja, a medieval monastery complex that serves as the seat of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Kosovo.

1:00 PM: Head to Rugova Canyon, one of the most beautiful and deepest canyons in Europe. Take a hike along the canyon’s scenic trails.
4:00 PM: Visit the nearby Radavc Cave, a stunning cave featuring ancient fossils and underground rivers.

7:00 PM: Return to Pristina and enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
9:00 PM: End the day with a relaxing walk around the city center or a visit to a local bar.

Visa Requirements: Citizens of most European countries, as well as the US, Canada, and Australia, do not need a visa to enter Kosovo.
Language: Albanian is the official language, but many people also speak Serbian, Turkish, and English.
Currency: The Euro is the official currency in Kosovo.
Safety: Kosovo is generally a safe country, but take normal precautions to protect yourself and your belongings.

Airport: Pristina International Airport (PRN) is the main airport in Kosovo. You can fly into PRN from many European cities.
Taxi: Taxis are widely available in Pristina and other towns. Make sure to agree on a price before you start your journey.
Bus: Buses connect major towns in Kosovo, including Pristina, Peja, and Prizren.
