3-Day Itinerary for Travelling in Syria

Day 1: Damascus

  • Morning: Arrive in Damascus, the capital city of Syria. Check-in to your hotel and freshen up.

Day 2: Palmyra and Homs

  • 8:00 am: Depart from Damascus to Palmyra ( approx. 3 hours drive).
  • 11:00 am: Explore the ancient city of Palmyra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and marvel at its stunning ruins.
  • 1:00 pm: Enjoy a picnic lunch in the scenic surroundings.
  • 3:00 pm: Visit the Palmyra Museum to learn more about the history and significance of the site.
  • 6:00 pm: Drive to Homs ( approx. 2 hours) and check-in to your hotel.

Day 3: Krak des Chevaliers and Hama

  • 8:00 am: Depart from Homs to Krak des Chevaliers ( approx. 1 hour drive).
  • 9:00 am: Visit the magnificent Crac des Chevaliers, a medieval castle and one of the best-preserved Crusader castles in the world.
  • 12:00 pm: Drive to Hama ( approx. 2 hours) and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
  • 2:00 pm: Explore the charming old city of Hama, known for its picturesque riverside location and ancient waterwheels.
  • 5:00 pm: Return to Damascus (approx. 3 hours drive).
