Tibet 4-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Lhasa and Acclimatization
Morning
- Arrive at Lhasa Gonggar Airport (LXA) or take an overnight train from Beijing/Shanghai
- Transfer to hotel and rest for acclimatization (3,650 meters above sea level)
- Visit the nearby Jokhang Temple, a sacred temple in Tibetan Buddhism
Afternoon
- Explore the Barkhor Street, a circular street around Jokhang Temple, filled with pilgrims, vendors, and local shops

Evening

Day 2: Lhasa City Tour
Morning
- Visit the Potala Palace, the former residence of the Dalai Lama, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
- Explore the palace’s numerous chapels, shrines, and gardens
Afternoon
- Visit the Sera Monastery, one of the three main monasteries in Lhasa, famous for its debating monks
- Watch the monks debate Buddhist philosophy and scripture
Evening
- Enjoy a traditional Tibetan dance performance at a local theater
- Try some local street food, such as momos (Tibetan dumplings) or thukpa (noodle soup)
Day 3: Namtso Lake and Yangbajain Hot Springs
Morning
- Drive to Namtso Lake, one of the highest saltwater lakes in the world (4,718 meters above sea level)
- Take a stroll around the lake and enjoy the breathtaking scenery
Afternoon
- Visit the Yangbajain Hot Springs, a popular hot spring resort surrounded by mountains
- Soak in the hot springs and relax in the natural surroundings
Evening
- Return to Lhasa and enjoy a relaxing evening at your hotel or explore the local night market
Day 4: Departure from Lhasa
Morning
- Visit the Tibet Museum, which showcases Tibetan history, culture, and art
- Last-minute shopping for souvenirs or exploring the local markets

- Transfer to Lhasa Gonggar Airport (LXA) for departure
- Reflect on your unforgettable journey in Tibet
