Vigeland Sculpture Park, over 200 bronze and granite figures by one obsessed Norwegian sculptor, is free, open 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Then Oslo turns around and charges NOK 280 for the Munch Museum and has kept its own Viking ships boxed up since 2021 for a rebuild that will not finish before 2027.
