3 Days From Riyadh Into the Desert

The 3-Day Riyadh and Najd Core Circuit

Travelers with a longer window can continue northwest from Riyadh into the Najdi interior to reach Ushaiqer Heritage Village, one of the oldest mud settlements in Arabia, then push on to the oasis cities of Al-Qassim, including Unaizah and Buraidah’s large date market. From there, the high-speed Saudi Arabia Railways line runs north to Hail, gateway to the UNESCO rock art site at Jubbah. This extension turns Riyadh Province from a single stop into the opening chapter of a wider Najd journey.
