7 Days in Amritsar: First-Timer Itinerary
Seven days is the full, unhurried version: the holy-city core, three countryside day trips, and a fourth, lighter one at the border’s Kartarpur viewpoint. Day 6: Sri Ram Tirath

A viewing point lets you look across at the Pakistani gurdwara; verify current access and exact distance locally, since this sits in the same sensitive border zone as Wagah.

Return to Amritsar for a final, unhurried afternoon: last-minute shopping, or one more stop at whichever sight from the week deserves a second look.
Evening
A farewell dinner and a final Golden Temple visit before departure. A taxi or auto to ATQ airport or Amritsar Junction runs roughly ₹300-550 (verify).
One concrete tip for day seven: don’t schedule the Kartarpur viewpoint trip on the morning of a departure flight, it’s in the same border zone as Wagah and worth the same margin for delays.
