Day 1: Yuexiu Park and Beijing Road

Day 4: Baiyun Mountain and Sacred Heart Cathedral

Is Shenzhen worth a day trip from Guangzhou?

Day 5: Shenzhen day trip
Take a high-speed train from Guangzhou South Railway Station, 29 minutes on the fastest G-trains up to about 1.5 hours on slower services, for 54-83 yuan ($8-12) each way. Shenzhen has multiple HSR stations that are not interchangeable, so confirm whether Futian, the more central option, or Shenzhen North matches your plan for the day before you book. What should you book ahead for a Guangzhou to Shenzhen day trip?
Just the HSR ticket, through the 12306 app or Trip.com, ideally a day or two ahead for weekend travel or anything near Canton Fair dates, when both trains and hotels sell out across the whole region.
