Marrakech Landmarks Worth Seeing

Before any ticket prices, one warning: a lookalike domain missing a single dot sells Jardin Majorelle tickets at a serious markup, and it’s easy to land on by accident.
Book Majorelle at the right address
The only official ticketing site is tickets.jardinmajorelle.com , confirmed as the venue’s own portal running timed-slot entry. A near-identical domain with “tickets” and “jardinmajorelle” run together, no dot between them, charges roughly 2.5 times as much in euros and is not affiliated with the garden. Current official prices: garden alone 170 MAD, garden plus Berber Museum 230 MAD, the YSL Museum alone 140 MAD, all three combined 330 MAD.
The Koutoubia: exterior only
Non-Muslims cannot enter Marrakech’s largest mosque, and there’s no paid workaround, a rule that applies at nearly every working mosque in the country. The minaret and free gardens around it are still worth the stop, and the view from the surrounding square is genuinely one of the best free photo spots in the city. For an actual interior, the Ben Youssef Madrasa is the real substitute: a former Quranic school, open daily 9am-7pm, 50 DH as a foreign adult.
Bahia Palace and the Saadian Tombs
Bahia Palace now costs 100 MAD as an adult (50 MAD for children 7-13, free under 7), open 9am-5pm; a 70 MAD figure still circulating online is stale. Check current Bahia Palace tour options on Viator if you’d rather skip the gate line. The Saadian Tombs cost 100 MAD, same hours, and are small enough that queues form fast once a bus arrives.
Quieter, lower-cost stops
Menara Gardens is free to wander, with a fee only for the pavilion interior. Le Jardin Secret, inside the medina, runs 100 MAD full price, 80 MAD under 25, plus 30 MAD for tower access. Verdict: lock in your Majorelle time slot as soon as your dates are fixed, since the online system is the real bottleneck, and double-check any ticket link has the dot in “tickets.” before you pay.
