The Children’s Museum Jordan
Founded by Queen Rania at Al Hussein Public Parks, this 8,000 m² museum runs over 180 hands-on exhibits covering human anatomy, physics, water mechanics, and a dinosaur-fossil dig, plus an interactive mini-city younger kids can role-play in. The Royal Automobile Museum, right next door
Kids gravitate to the gleaming vintage racing cars, but the real draw is the full-scale Martian Rover prop from The Martian, donated to Jordan after filming in Wadi Rum. The Roman Theatre’s built-in party trick
Beyond climbing the stone tiers and poking around the underground vomitoria tunnels, the theater has a working acoustic sweet spot: stand on the center orchestra stone and speak at a normal volume, and it carries clearly to the very top row, 2,000 years after the design was first cut into the hillside.
The Dead Sea, through a resort, not a wild beach

The stroller problem, honestly
Downtown sidewalks are cracked and blocked by merchant stalls, and the staircases connecting hills run to hundreds of uneven stone steps with no handrails or ramps. A stroller will not make it through a full day here. Pack a lightweight child carrier or baby wrap, and budget for taxi or ride-hailing transfers between neighborhoods instead of walking a pram between them.
