4 Days in Fiji: The First-Timer Itinerary

Four days is enough to add a proper Coral Coast run to the Nadi-and-Mamanuca base, out to the Sigatoka Sand Dunes and Kula Wild Adventure Park and back along the Queens Road in a single day. This builds on the 3-day route ; go longer with the 5 , 6 , or 7-day versions for a Yasawa overnight and Suva.

Day 1: Nadi Arrival and the Sabeto Mud Pools

Morning (9:00 am - 12:00 pm)

  • Land at Nadi International Airport (NAN), taxi to Denarau or Nadi, roughly FJD15-20 into town or FJD30-45 to Denarau
  • Visit the Sabeto Hot Springs and Mud Pool , 20-25 minutes from the airport, entry roughly FJD10 to look, FJD20-25 for the mud bath and springs, cash-only

Afternoon (12:00 pm - 4:00 pm)

  • Walk next door to the Garden of the Sleeping Giant, 2,000+ orchid varieties, entry roughly FJD20 adult, open 9:00 am-5:00 pm

Evening (5:00 pm - 9:00 pm)

  • Check into your Denarau resort, walk the marina at Port Denarau, dinner nearby for FJD30-50

Day 2: Mamanuca Islands Day Cruise

Morning (7:30 am - 12:00 pm)

  • Board the South Sea Cruises Mamanuca Islands Explorer at Port Denarau, roughly 3 hours, adult fare around FJD159 with transfers included

Afternoon (12:00 pm - 4:00 pm)

  • Snorkel a resort-island reef, buy an island lunch for FJD20-30, since lunch isn’t in the base fare

Evening (4:30 pm - 9:00 pm)

  • Cruise back to Denarau, shower off, dinner at the marina

Day 3: Cloud 9 and a Second Reef

Morning (8:00 am - 12:00 pm)

  • Boat transfer to Cloud 9, the floating pontoon over Ro Ro Reef, day pass roughly FJD229 including a FJD60 food and drink credit

Afternoon (12:00 pm - 4:00 pm)

  • Snorkel straight off the pontoon, then take the return transfer to Port Denarau

Evening (5:00 pm - 9:00 pm)

Day 4: The Coral Coast, Sigatoka Dunes and Kula Wild

Morning (8:00 am - 12:00 pm)

  • Rent a car or book a tour transfer and drive the Queens Road southeast toward Sigatoka, roughly 1-1.5 hours from Nadi
  • Walk the Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park, Fiji’s first national park (1989), a windswept dune system with archaeological finds; entry roughly FJD10 adult, guided walks FJD50-100, open 8:00 am-4:30 pm

Afternoon (12:00 pm - 4:00 pm)

  • Visit Kula Wild Adventure Park nearby for native Fijian wildlife, iguanas, hawksbill turtles, and birds; the international-visitor rate runs roughly FJD68+, with activity add-ons up to about FJD120
  • Grab lunch at a Coral Coast resort cafe or a roadside stall on the Queens Road

Evening (5:00 pm - 9:00 pm)

  • Drive back to Nadi for the evening, or overnight at a Coral Coast resort if you’d rather split the drive
  • Dinner back at Denarau or at your Coral Coast stay before packing for departure

Fast tips

  • The Sigatoka Dunes and Kula Wild pair well as a single day trip since they sit minutes apart on the same stretch of Queens Road
  • Bring cash for both Sabeto and the Coral Coast stops; card readers are inconsistent outside Denarau
  • If you’d rather skip driving, a guided day tour bundles transport, both parks, and lunch
