Seville Activities by Booking Lead Time
Some Seville tickets vanish weeks ahead, while the best tapas bar needs nothing but an appetite. Sorting your plans by how early they need booking keeps the trip calm.
Book weeks ahead
The Real Alcázar runs on timed entry. General admission is about €15.50, with a reduced €8 rate for visitors over 65 and students aged 14 to 30 of any nationality. Under-13s with an adult go free. The upper royal rooms (Cuarto Real Alto) add €5.50 and have their own timed slot. Hours are 09:30 to 17:00 from October to March and 09:30 to 19:00 from April to September, and reservations go through alcazarsevilla.org . A limited free Monday slot also exists, booked online well ahead, so treat it as a bonus rather than a plan.
The Cathedral and Giralda cost €13 online or €14 at the box office, reduced €7 or €8. A free Sunday visit runs from 16:30 to 18:00 with an online reservation on catedraldesevilla.es . The bell tower is a ramp climb with no lift, so allow your legs a rest afterwards.
Book a few days ahead
Evening experiences need a little notice, mainly to get the seat you want.
- Flamenco: small tablaos start from about €22 to €25 with a drink, larger venues run about €38 to €45, and shows with dinner cost roughly €55 to €90. You can compare flamenco shows before picking a room.
- Aire Ancient Baths: candlelit pools in a restored palace on Calle Aire 15, from about €26 for 90 minutes, by appointment only.
- Las Setas walkway: tickets start from €16 and include the mirador. The Aurora light show runs from April to October, between 21:30 and 01:00, and the site stays open until late. See setasdesevilla.com .
Turn up on the day
Plenty needs no reservation at all. Plaza de España is free to enter, and the Archivo General de Indias is free year round for individual visitors. Walk the Isabel II bridge into Triana at sunset, stroll the Parque de María Luisa, and let a tapas crawl through Santa Cruz or El Arenal fill the evening. Kitchens rarely open before 20:00, so dinner at 21:00 is ordinary.
Seasons that change the lead time
Semana Santa 2027 runs from Palm Sunday, 21 March, to Easter Sunday, 28 March. The Feria de Abril is expected from 13 to 18 April 2027, with the lighting of the fairground on the night of 12 April. In both weeks hotels fill first, so check rates on Booking.com as soon as dates are fixed.
Summer is the other pressure point. Heat alerts above 40C are common, so book the Alcázar for opening time, spend the afternoon somewhere cool, and come back out after 19:30.
Before you fly
Non-EU visitors are registered at the border under the Entry/Exit System, which has been live since April 2026. ETIAS is not yet required. Check the official EU travel site before you go.
For a ready-made order of visits, see the two-day Seville itinerary or the sightseeing page . Tip: book the Alcázar first, because every other plan can bend around its slot.
